The System module located in the BackOffice under Settings > System allows you to configure additional settings concerning the system, such as Dining Options, Time Segments, Tender Types, and Void Reasons.
This article discusses each system setting option in more detail.
Dining Options
Dining Options play an essential role in tracking your orders, and you can choose from having a default Dining Option or requiring that the user select one for each order they ring out.
Once Dining Options are created, a new Dining Options button will appear above the cart in the Register. You must create at least two Dining Options for the button to appear in the Register. If only one Dining Option is created, it is automatically set to the default, and there is no need to display the Dining Options button (for a selection) in the Register.
Please refer to the Add/Configure Dining Options article for more information on adding Dining Options.
Time Segments
Time Segments allow you to define service periods like breakfast, lunch, and dinner and set up the reporting hours (start and end times) for each. Time Segments provide additional reporting and tracking capabilities, and you can view your sales in the BackOffice under Reports > Time Segments.
Please refer to the Add Time Segments article for instructions on creating Time Segments in the BackOffice.
Tender Types
Tender Types are alternative payment options (outside of cash, credit, gift cards, etc.), such as third-party services, that you can accept as a tender.
Please refer to the Add Tender Types article to learn more about Tender Types.
Void Reasons
A Void Reason is a pre-populated explanation in the void dialog popup of the Register. It is applied to the canceled order for reasons you deem relevant. Void Reasons simplify the process of voiding a transaction since the user doesn't have to manually type the reason for voiding the transaction.
The Add Void Reasons article explains how to create them in the BackOffice.
