Item Discount Types
There are two types of discounts that you can apply to an item: Custom Discounts and Preset Discounts. With a Custom Discount, you can apply a percentage or fixed dollar amount discount by entering a value upon applying the discount. Alternatively, you can apply Preset Discounts created by administrators in the BackOffice. Preset Discounts are a helpful tool for tracking discounts (e.g., employee discounts) and promotions.
