Register Settings for Log In/Out
Three settings force the system to log out the user automatically. Managers can access these settings from the Settings module in the Register's fly-out menu. Tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner of the Register screen and tap Settings. On the Register tab in the Settings window, the settings are as follows:
- Auto log out user after each transaction: Automatically logs out the user after each completed payment.
- Auto log out user after send/save order: Automatically logs out the user after sending the order to the kitchen or saving the order.
- Auto log out user idle time: Specify the amount of time (30 seconds, 1 min, 5 min, or 10 min) before the system automatically logs out the user.
Note that all three settings are disabled by default, so if you want to implement them, you must enable them from the Settings module. If no setting is enabled, the user can manually log out by tapping the Logout User button from the fly-out navigation menu.
To log into an open register, type your PIN and tap the Log In button.
Note that if no drawer is open, the system will display the Open Drawer button instead of the Log In button.
Simply put, you must have an open drawer to log into the system.
Log Out
If you are logged into the system and want to log out manually, tap the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the Register screen and then tap the Logout User button.
